Shung Dynasty was a government lineage of ancient India who ruled after the Mauryan Dynasty. Pushyamitra Shung was the first ruler of this dynasty.

Pushyamitra Shung (185 - 14 9 B.C.) was the founder and first king of the Sunga empire of northern India. Earlier, he was the commander in the Mauryan Empire.
