The first few descendents of this lineage are mentioned in Mahabharata and Puranas, according to which the primary dynasty of Magadha was founded by Vahradrath, who was the father of Jarsand's father and son of Vasu.According to the Puranas, the next dynasty of Magadha was of the Shishunaga dynasty, which was founded by Shishunaag. But many scholars do not accept this statement of Puranas. According to D.R.C. Majumdar and DR K. Mukherjee, Dynasty was founded and Shishunaag established a lineage after that.Dr. Vimalchandra Pandey states that "this conclusion seems to be that Bimbisara was before Shishunaag and it was not of the Shishunaga dynasty but was of the Hiranyak dynasty as it is written in Buddhist literature.
Bimbisar

As time passed, the Magadha became the central political power center among all the states of northern India.Rajagari was the capital of Magadha. Because of the geographical conditions, the word of the Magadha empire was established.
Bimbisar was the founder of the Hiranyak Dynasty. He was an ambitious king. He enhanced Magadha's values and achievement through marriage relations, treaties and victories. According to Turner and En.D.D., "Bimbisar's father's name was Bhattiyya, His name has been given a great name in Tibet literature. " There is a great difference in the relationship between Bimbisar's father's name.Bimbisar's second name was class. He was contemporary of Mahatma Buddha. It has been said in the "Mahanavash" that it ruled 52 years. In the Puranas, the duration of his rule has been described as 28 years, which is supported by Dr. Smith. According to DRC Majumdar, Bimbisar had 544 B.C. . To 492 B.C. Ruled till Bimbisara was a skilled politician.To strengthen and organize its state and to protect Magadha from expansionist states like skill, vatsa and Avanti, he strengthened his position by marital relations. He married the skill of King Mahakaushal's daughter Kaushal Devi and got the friendship of skill state.

At the time of Bimbisar, there were 80000 villages in his state and the entire state was up to 1700 square miles.
Ajatashatru
Ajatshatru used to rule Magadha and he was from the Haranika dynasty. His father Bode was the Emperor Bimbisar, and Ajtashatru secured power by capturing his father.
During the time of Ajatshatru Buddha and Mahavira, they gave complete protection to them. Ajatashatru defeated Vajji and took control of a big kingdom like Vaishali. Ajatashtru defeated Khosla, who was defeated by his brother Khosla Raja. Magadha was a very powerful state in the time of Ajatshatru.
