Shishunaag dynasty (412-344 BC)

Family discord had increased in the time of the last ruler Nagarkshak of the Hariknag dynasty. There was a flood of conspiracy and killings.Dynasty was rare and the administration became very weak. Disgruntle in the public became pervasive. All people began to hate the patriarchal dynasty.

As a result, there was a political revolution in Magadha and the people exiled Nagadasis by passing them out And in place of him, a highly qualified person named Shishunag was made king.

Shishunag sat on 412E. BC. According to the Mahavishha, he was the son of the Lichchavi king's prostitute wife. According to Puranas, he was a Kshatriya. This first of all, against Magadha's prevailing rival state, conquered the ruler against the imperialism and incorporated it into his empire. Thus the extent of Magadha spread to the western Malwa. After that he added Watts to Magadha. By the merger of Vatsa and Avanti in Magadha, the path for trade routes from Western countries for Pataliputra was opened.

1.Vaishali transfer from the capital Patilputra:-Shishunag made Vaishali as its capital. It did so to control the northern part of its state, especially the commerce.

2.Degradation of degradation:-The most important event of the reign of Shishunag was the merger of the demise of the Magadha empire.By this time, Pradyoth had died. The ruler of that place was Avantivardhan. There was no heroism like Pradyoth.Consequently, Shishnaga defeated him in battle and took control of Avanti and made him a part of the Magadha Empire. This led to the western border of Magadha empire reaching Malwa. With this victory, the childhood was easily acquired on Vatsas, because the merger of Vatsa was done in Avanti at the time of Avantinesh Pradyot. Thus Magadha has no strong opponent in northern India.Magadha Empire joined all the major states of north India, which were in vogue during Mahatma Buddha.

Shishunag took over Magadha from the border of Bengal to Malwa on the vast land.

Sheshnag was a powerful ruler who built Vaishali city as his capital besides Girivraj. 394 BC It died in

Kalashok-This was the son of Shishnag, who was born in 394 B.C. After death, became the ruler of Magadha. In the Mahavishtha it is called Kalashok and Kakvarna in the Puranas. It ruled for 28 years. The period of Kalashok is mainly known for two important events - the meeting of the second 'Buddhist Council' in Vaishali and the transfer of the capital of Magadha in Pataliputra (modern Patna).

According to Harbahar, written by Banabhatta, when Kakvarna was roaming in the capital Pataliputra, a person named Mahapodyanand had stabbed him and killed him. 366 BC Kalashok died.

According to Mahabodhivas, Kalashok had ten sons who ruled Magadha for 22 years.

344 BC The infant descendants of Nishan Dynasty came to an end and Nand dynasty emerged.
